About Us

Angry Bull Trails is a bold adventure tourism and social enterprise project based in Tenterfield, NSW.

We are creating 174 kilometres of world-class mountain biking trails and a vibrant Trail Centre that will attract visitors from across Australia while generating long-term employment opportunities for local young people.

Set amongst the rugged granite landscape of the New England High Country in northern NSW, this project is about more than trails - it’s about building opportunity, strengthening regional communities, and creating unforgettable outdoor experiences.

  • To be the heart of adventure tourism in Australia – connecting people to place, purpose and opportunity through world-class trails, youth empowerment and community impact.

  • We create impact through world-class trails, a vibrant Trail Centre and a bold social enterprise that employs and empowers youth, grows community and drives sustainable tourism.

    • Include: We design experiences that welcome and engage all people.

    • Connect: We strengthen ties between community, place and purpose.

    • Care: We honour and protect the land and people that sustain our trails and communities.

    • Empower: We invest in youth, community and regional prosperity.

    • Sustain: We balance impact that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable.

  • Angry Bull Trails operates as a purpose-driven social enterprise, bringing together trail development, tourism experiences and community impact initiatives under one integrated project. The organisation is governed by a Board of Directors, and works collaboratively with advisory partners, community organisations, land managers and industry stakeholders to guide strategic direction and ensure strong governance. This structure allows Angry Bull Trails to deliver world-class trails while also creating training, employment and economic opportunities that benefit the Tenterfield community.

The Story Behind Angry Bull Trails

Angry Bull Trails began with a simple idea: that adventure tourism could be a powerful catalyst for regional renewal.

Tenterfield is surrounded by spectacular landscapes, rugged granite country and incredible riding terrain. Yet like many regional communities, it also faces challenges — including limited local employment opportunities for young people.

Angry Bull Trails was created to bring these two realities together.

By developing a world-class trail network and a welcoming trail centre, the project aims to attract riders, families and adventure travellers while creating training pathways, employment and long-term economic opportunities for the community.
