Community Update - May 2025
We’re excited to share some major progress happening across the Angry Bull Trails project, thanks to the incredible support of our community, local tradies and hardworking trail crew!
Trail Development Charging Ahead!
Trail construction is well underway. Since March this year, approximately 10km of new trails have been built and the Trailworx crew are so stoked with the Bald Rock Adventure Trail (Zone 2). The terrain has blown them away, and they’re so excited about what they’re building.
We’re currently finalising approvals for Zones 1 & 3 with NSW Forestry and NSW National Parks, and we’re aiming to start construction in July this year.
Trail Centre Coming to Life
Construction of the Angry Bull Trails Trail Centre is progressing well. We’ve recently completed a new concrete floor and timber ceiling framework, and the space is coming together as a vibrant hub. We’re excited to be sharing local stories and products in this community hub, which will be open early 2026.
Tradies for Trails
A massive THANK YOU to all the local tradies and suppliers who’ve worked with us to bring our vision to life. So far, we want to thank:
Andrew Petrie Electrical, BackTracks Crew, B&K Trades, BJS Construction, David Kelly Earthworks, DTB Fabrications, D&V Paterson Bricklaying, GTL Concrete Pumping, IRA Fencing & Metalwork, MWF Plumbing, Precious Wall Finishes, Rhodes Concrete, Stocks & Hogan, Tenterfield Home Hardware, Tenterfield Pest Service, Tenterfield Timber & Hardware, and Townes Group.
We’re now working on the internal structure and finishes. If you’re interested in building something meaningful for the community, we’re on the lookout for:
Carpenters – structural framing & finish works
Joinery carpenters (to build the fancy stuff)
Painters
Tilers
Casual Labourers or retired tradies wanting to share knowledge and experience.
Work is available now, with flexible schedules and competitive pay based on experience and attitude. You will need an ABN and relevant licenses and insurances. Bring your skills and be part of something special – plus score a spot on our “Local Legends Wall”. If you’re interested or keen to get involved, get in touch with us: info@angrybulltrails.com.
Trainee Trail Builders - Youth Program Launching July
We’re kicking off our Youth Employment Program with paid trainee trail builder roles available from July. This is your chance to learn from the best in trail construction while getting hands-on experience. We’re partnering with Trailworx and TAFE to deliver real-world skills in trail planning, building, sustainability and maintenance.
We’ll be running info sessions in June/July – if you or someone who know might be interested, get in touch with us now!
Trailworx is Hiring
Trailworx – our awesome trail builders – are also hiring. Whether you’re from a trade, landscaping or just love working outdoors, they value attitude over experience. Great pay, amazing work sites and the chance to shape incredible trails across SEQ and Northern NSW. Check out their Facebook posts and send your resume to jackieb@furphyig.com.au if interested.
Gravel n Granite 2026
We had a fabulous time working with the Saddlers MTB Club and the Gravel n Granite team on the 2025 event (held 1 & 2 March 2025). It was an epic weekend of riding, community and adventure, with challenging climbs, fast descents and plenty of good vibes.
The 2026 Gravel n Granite has been announced, on the weekend of Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 May! We can’t wait to do it all again! Check out their website for more information.
