The Yards Bike Park - Community Consultation Open
We're excited to share the proposed concept for The Yards Bike Park and invite the community to have their say.
The former Landers Street Hockey Fields are proposed to become The Yards Bike Park.
The Yards will transform the former Landers Street Hockey Fields into a vibrant recreation precinct that brings together riding, recreation and community. Designed for bikes, scooters, skateboards, skates and adaptive equipment, the precinct will provide opportunities for everyone from first-time riders through to experienced athletes, while creating new spaces for families, visitors and the broader community to enjoy.
The concept includes:
A Skills Track & Session Trails
Progressive Jump Lines for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders
A Bike Playground for younger riders
Community facilities including shelters, seating, amenities and bike wash facilities
Landscaped community spaces
A future events and entertainment precinct, including a multi-purpose pavilion (subject to future funding)
The project has been designed to reflect Tenterfield's unique character, incorporating granite features, natural earth forms and agricultural elements while creating a distinctive destination that complements the broader Angry Bull Trails network.
The Development Application has now been lodged with Tenterfield Shire Council, and community consultation is now open. We've created a dedicated Have Your Say page where you can explore the concept, learn more about the project, view frequently asked questions and provide feedback.
Community consultation closes Sunday 19 July 2026.
